Del Sol Photography - Matt Adcock and Sol Tamargo are based in the Riviera Maya Mexico, and their blog shares some of their amazing wedding photography by couple and event. We loved their Trash the Dress sessions, such as this creative shoot which included underwater photography. Sometimes the photographers share information about what equipment they are using or show shots of their setup process, but mostly, the blog showcases their fantastic work.
Modern Wedding Photography - This blog highlights the work of Long Island-based photographers. Posts are typically organized by couple, with information about the location for each wedding or engagement shoot. Some posts include a little back story or anecdote about that particular wedding, but the photos take center stage. There are also occasional posts about process and technique, such as Post-Processing Images, or about wedding planning, such as The Video Dilemma and Classic Events NYC.
Jeff Kolodny Photography - Between all the gorgeous wedding and event photos, you’ll find notes and commentary sharing the story of what was photographed. Each event includes extensive photos, as well, rather than the typical sampling. For fellow photographers, Tech Specs shares some of the technical aspects of how the photos are achieved, including information about equipment and technique.
Lilia Photography - Lilia and Ray are a husband and wife team of wedding photographers based in San Francisco. Each wedding includes notes about the destination and the events to help give a little story to the pictures. We liked some of the more unusual shoots, such as Lisa and Richard: San Francisco Elopement (Part II) and Lisa Marie & Richard: San Francisco City Hall Wedding (Part I).
Ben Chrisman - This blog follows the work of a team of photographers led by Ben Chrisman. Posts focus on the photos themselves, which are labeled according to couple and location. Each event showcases the photographers’ talent for finding unique angles and lighting to create moodier and edgier photos outside of the typical wedding portraiture.
Heather Waraksa - Heather Waraksa is a Brooklyn-based photographer, and her blog follows her work with weddings, as well as “fashion/inspiration/travel/portrait/neat stuff." Posts include gorgeous photo collages of weddings and travel and other inspiration. Even within the same collage, Waraksa shows multiple points of view and experiments with lighting and framing. Posts don’t share her technique, but there is plenty of inspiration to be found here.
Jerry Ghionis - The layout of this blog is almost as appealing as the photography itself. Photos are presented in a scrapbook-type format, with lots of great notes about the ceremony, the process, and the photographer’s point of view. Several recent posts even cover the photographer’s own wedding! Technique and equipment aren’t discussed on the blog, but Ghionis maintains a separate page with information geared toward photographers.
Daniel Krieger - Engagement and wedding photography from this New York-based photographer is showcased on this blog. A bit of information is included about each wedding, as well as a generous sampling of photos. Food photography and other fun stuff sometimes makes an appearance, and there are occasional posts about wedding planning, such as recommendations for DJs, etc.
Adeline and Grace - Tiffany and Erica are the photography team behind Adeline and Grace, based in California and New England. We loved the photos from Camilla & Cale, Wedding on Fishers Island, NY and Napa Wedding Photographer: Kayla and Geoff. Posts share information about wedding day details and decisions, and there are occasional posts about the business of photography, such as New Bridal Album.
Jasmine Star - This comprehensive blog features some of the fantastic work by Jasmine Star, as well as her thoughts about photography and business management. You can explore some of her work on weddings and engagements, or learn more about her process in the "Life Behind the Lens" posts. There is even video showing her at work on a shoot.
13:13 - Ashley and Phillip Colhouer are the team behind 13:13 (from Corinthians: “Faith hope and love"), which they describe as “boutique wedding photography" with an emphasis on “capturing fun and romantic moments in a fresh and exciting way." Their intimate and relaxed style can be seen in photos such as Alicia + Brent {married!} and Veronica + Chris {post wedding session!}.
Jessica Claire - You can watch Jess in action to learn about her process, or you can browse the gorgeous wedding photos on her blog. We loved Black Swan/White Swan and Katie and Dave’s Wedding - both great examples of the photographer’s artistic style. The blog is also interspersed with more personal posts that offer a glimpse into the photographer’s process.
Ian Grant Photography - Ian Grant is a Los Angeles-based photographer specializing in wedding photography and head shots. He incorporates his love for landscapes in his wedding photography. We loved the work shown in Santa Monica Wedding and Viceroy Palm Springs Wedding. In addition to short descriptions of each event (often told by the bride), there are also lists included for all the vendors used – in case you like what you see.
Birchtree Photography - “Photographs, to me, are about telling a story, sometimes with one photo, sometimes with more," explains this Pittsburgh-based photographer. In addition to the gorgeous photography on display on this blog, there are also useful posts for brides, such as Top Tips for Wedding Planning and Sharing Your Vision for Wedding Photography. There is also some information for fellow photographers, such as this FAQ with information about what cameras to use and more.
Shira Weinberger - Shira is a New York-based photographer with a photojournalistic style. She explains, “I aim to capture the spontaneity, joy, emotion and ambiance of the important day with photos that present an unfolding story." We loved the work on Tribeca Rooftop Wedding and New York Wedding. Posts also include many of the details about the wedding vendors and attire.
Brad Ross Photography - “Well, It's rather simple.....I love being a Wedding Photographer. I am addicted to the raw emotion of the day. The winks, laughs and tears keep me coming back for more. I want to capture these awesome little moments for you to have forever," explains this New Jersey-based photographer. Some fantastic recent work includes The Palace – Bonnie & Kris, High Line and West Village – Juah & Juan and Pittsburg, PA – Benny & Rina. The blog also includes links to wedding vendors and other resources.
Eric Graf - Eric is a Kentucky-based photographer who is inspired by “telling the human story." Many of his shots use unusual poses and settings. Some great recent work includes 1930’s Hollywood-style Wedding, Farm Weddings in Kentucky – Shotgun Bride, and Churchill Down’s Wedding.
Jennifer Dery Photography - Jennifer is a San Diego-based photographer who specializes in wedding photography. Some great recent work includes Magical wedding at the Prado Balboa Park – Emil & Rodrigo , Mary Star of the Sea La Jolla and the San Diego Bayfront Hilton Wedding – Sherry & Paul , and Green and Purple Wedding at the Lodge Torrey Pines – Heather & Randy.
Barrie Downie Studios - Barrie and Bev Downie offer artistic wedding photography in the U.K., as well as portraiture. Many of the photos make stunning use of light, location and farming. Some fantastic recent work includes Debbie and Craig’s Wedding at Brocket Hall, Laura & Paolo’s London Wedding, and Charlie & Paul’s Wedding at Goodwin House.
Erin Johnson Photography - Wedding and engagement photography is only part of the work you’ll enjoy seeing from this Minneapolis-based photographer. You’ll also find stunning portraiture and design work. Workshops are available for those interested in learning more about the creative process, but they are held in Minneapolis.
Alison Yin - Alison is a wedding and documentary photographer in Oakland, California, who works with her boyfriend and photojournalist Adm. Though her focus is on weddings and engagement sessions, her blog also share her work with portraits and other photography. In addition, her blog shares great tips for other photographers about various aspects of the business, such as Picking the Perfect Location for Engagement Photos, Creating an Identity, Part I, and Creating and Identity, Part III.
Todd Pellowe - Todd is a Louisville-based wedding photographer, and his blog shares some of his favorite work from wedding and engagement sessions. There are also occasional posts with pictures from the photographer’s own life. Photos show gread use of color, location, and point of view.
Choco Studio - Mike and Natasha are San Francisco-based wedding photographers who use a journalistic style and love to capture “crazy creative portraits of our couples." Several of their weddings have been featured recently in print, as well. Some great recent work includes Best of Choco Studio Weddings 2010: The Shoes! Vine Hill House Wedding and Oceano Hotel and Spa Wedding.
Mindy Bean Photography - Mindy Bean specializes as a wedding and engagement photographer in the Las Vegas area, but also offers all aspects of lifestyle photography. Recent work that we enjoy includes Wedding Photographers Orlando, FL Mike + Wendy, Kelli + Joe = A Very Viva Wedding and Justin + Melissa.
Hoffer Photography - Tony Hoffer transitioned from graphic design a few years ago, and now he has a booming wedding photography business outside of Philadelphia with his wife, Amy. Some great recent work includes Angela and Jeremy’s Arizona Wedding, Wendi and Shane’s Small Wedding in Downingtown, and Baywood Green’s Wedding.
Melissa Koehler - Melissa offers a variety of lifestyle photography, including pregnancy, family, engagement, wedding, and boudoir. Some of her recent wedding photography that we love includes Scripps Seaside Forum Wedding, Heather and Robert Married, and Brian and Andy Married.
Alex Rodriguez Photography - “Timeless, classic, elegant, modern, refreshing, refined." This is how Alex Rodriguez describes his documentary style of photography. He calls it “wedding photography redefined." We loved Paula + David’s Cartagena Wedding, Christine + Dan’s Key West Wedding, and Lauren + JP’s Wedding at Gesu Catholic Church.
A&A Studio - Andy and Angie Wood are a husband and wife team based in Colorado, who specialize in wedding photography. Their blog shares discussions about photography, as well as some samples of their work. We loved Light, Mike + Tracy Vail Wedding Photography, and Love This Bridesmaid’s Dress.

Ali Walker Photography - Ali is a wedding and portrait photographer based in the Walla Walla, Washington, area. Vue Photography - Genya and Wesleyann are the photographers at Vue, and they describe themselves as “emotion junkies." “We chase the happy, crave heart-stopping moments, and cross our fingers for tears of joy!" Leigh Taylor Photography - Leigh is an Orlando-based photographer, and she explains her style this way: “I love color, clarity, eyes and personality. I strive to show that in every person I capture.
